Go South – London Bridge and Beyond

This summer, I spent a photography rich week in London. You probably noticed it either in Instagram or based on some of my previous posts this fall (Streets of London and Hackney on my Mind). As I have masses of great pictures from the trip which will hopefully be featured in the up and coming Tripsteri London travel guide, I thought I would write a little bit about my old hoods. It has been five years since I moved to Sweden, but London Bridge and Bermondsey are still dear to me. Every time we are in London, we are pulled back to the south for some great food, wine and just relaxed atmosphere.

A Day in Tiong Bahru

October is not only knocking on the door – it’s already in. It snuck in while I was busy editing my photos from Singapore and our summer trip to London. To continue in my ignorant bliss I chose this week to write about some of the best memories from our recent trip. We took a nice walk in Tiong Bahru, which is an interesting neighborhood for architecture geeks, food lovers and history buffs alike. There is something for everyone, and its a perfect way to spend a half day in Singapore.

Two Great Wine Bars in Amsterdam

Sometimes its not a coincidence why great wine bars stand out in a big city – there are usually a handful of very wine curious people who decide to open more than one place. We are drawn to a particular style of wine bar, M and I. We like small, cozy, bodega-style places with a well-selected list by the glass and some bar food. We don’t mind if its fancy bar food, but the service should be casual. In a big city like Amsterdam, we have been lucky to find our favorites, and I would like to share them with you.
