Goodbye 2016

The last day of the year, and I am browsing pictures from 2016. I guess this is a typical post for a lazy blogger, reading old posts and thinking of which stories are worth revisiting. Looking back, it seems like a lifetime since these moments were the present: visiting Champagne, enjoying the views over Valtellina valley and all those lovely dinners in Stockholm. Life starts sprinting when you turn 30 (now I’m already 34), and there doesn’t seem to be any way to slow it down. The Warm Welcome at Vina

Winter has really hit Stockholm. The long and warm fall ended very abruptly to a meter of snow, and we have had to pull out all the heavy duty winter gear. Normally this time of the year we would just be blessed with +5C and continuous rain. And the crisp weather does not come alone, it is accompanied by a darkness that makes me want to stay indoors and hibernate. The medicine is to have a great cozy restaurant, that is worth defying the outside weather for. Vina is definitely a place, where the dark and cold weather can be enjoyed from the inside. Wineweek 105: The First Snow

This morning – the first proper snowfall of the year. Sorry, I don’t have any pictures of it. Me and my camera have remained happily indoors; drinking tea and eating chocolate. But I have a few other cool shots to show you from yesterdays visit to AB.Cafe for brunch and Vina wine bar for dinner. I also did some window shopping in the center. Even though we do not spend Christmas in Sweden, I still like getting a few small gifts for the fam.
